Which facial is best for acne?
Our Acne & Purifying Facial is designed for congested, oily and blemish-prone skin. Every facial can also be adjusted for acne-prone skin based on what your skin needs that day.
Do you offer a head spa near Decatur?
Yes. The Scalp & Skin Reset at our Boyd med spa pairs our Signature Facial with a mini head spa, including a purifying scalp treatment, clarifying shampoo, soothing head massage and nourishing conditioner.
What is the best facial before an event?
The Glass Skin Ultimate Facial is our go-to for a big glow before an event. It uses very light microneedling, so it is event-friendly — book it a day or two before for glowing, glass-like skin. Short on time? The Express Facial is a quick refresh.
How often should I get a facial?
Most clients get a facial every 4–6 weeks to keep skin healthy and glowing. Your esthetician can recommend a schedule for your goals.
Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?
No. Dermaplaning removes dead skin and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), and it grows back the same soft texture. Skin looks smoother and makeup goes on more evenly.
Is there downtime after a facial?
Most facials have little to no downtime. Treatments with add-ons like peels or microneedling may cause mild redness for 24–48 hours.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
We recommend waiting 24 hours so your skin can fully absorb the treatment.
Are facials safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. We customize products and steps for sensitive skin — just tell your esthetician about any sensitivities, allergies or medications.
How should I prepare for my facial?
Come with a clean face if you can, skip retinol and exfoliants for 48 hours beforehand, and let us know about any medications or skin conditions.
